A plant rooter is a simple, elegant tool designed specifically for propagating plant cuttings. It holds a cutting upright over water, giving roots the space and stability they need to grow — all while creating a beautiful display for your home or office.

Carefully unwrap the fragile (glass) bulb. Hold bulb by the wooden base & place the bottom hole of the wooden base on the prong. Push hole securely on prong with twisting motion. Fill with water. Use a cutting 6″ or longer. Remove lower leaves before putting cutting in to bulb. As the plant grows, wrap it around the frame. Once roots develop you can transplant to soil OR keep the plant in your ROOTS Plant Rooter where it will continue to grow. Excessive roots should be trimmed to fit inside the bulb.
Water MUST be completely changed as soon as it becomes cloudy.
Cleaning the bulb is easy – simply take the plant out of the bulb (put in a cup of water), fill the bulb with water and drop a denture type cleaning tablet in or fill with vinegar & water. Do not use any invasive tool to clean the bulb.
Use your favorite rooting plant or all varieties of Ivy, spider plant, philodendron, herbs, African violet, even artificial plants look lovely !

How It Works
Take a cutting six inches or longer. Remove the lower leaves before putting it in the rooter bulb filled with water. Well water is not recommended.
Your cuttings will root best in a window with indirect sunlight. Once roots develop, you can transplant your cutting to soil or keep it in your ROOTS plant rooter, where it will continue to grow. Excessive roots should be trimmed to fit inside the bulb.
Water must be changed as soon as it becomes cloudy. If the glass becomes dirty, remove the plant, rinse the glass with room-temperature water, and add a denture cleaning tablet or a vinegar-and-water solution. Rinse well with clean water before returning the plant to class ROOTS bulb. Do not use any brush or cleaning tool to clean your ROOTS bulb.

Step 1:
Carefully unwrap your FRAGILE ROOTS bulb. They can and will break if not careful. Replacement bulbs are available here.
Step 2:
Hold bulb by wooden base. Place bottom hole of wooden base on spike prong. Push hole securely on prong with twisting motion.
Step 3:
Fill with Water.
Step 4:
Take a cutting 6 or more inches long (cut just below the leaf joint), and remove lower leaves before putting the cutting into the bulb. As your clipping grows wrap the growth around the frame.
ROOTS will appear in 10-14 days.

Roots Plant Rooters was founded by Genmarie Stiber, who began creating plant rooters in 1990 with a deliberate vision and entrepreneurial spirit. Genmarie thought propagation tools should be as beautiful as the plants they support.
What started as a hands-on creation quickly became a lifelong practice. Genmarie designs and makes each piece with intention, blending function, balance, and timeless design. Every rooter is created to be used, displayed, and enjoyed — not tucked away or treated as temporary.
For more than three decades, her work has been shaped by care, consistency, and a deep appreciation for handmade quality. Roots Plant Rooters has grown through word of mouth, craft shows, and loyal customers who return year after year. Genmarie and her customers know this is a testament to pieces that last and a process that hasn’t chased trends.
